Sit-ups and Belly Fat

Throughout my years of practice, one of the most common questions asked by my patients is: “I have been doing sit-ups every other day for months, but it does not seem to get rid of my belly fat”. 

In addition to improving our health, most of us start exercise programs to also improve our body’s image. Therefore, losing weight is a common challenge for many. Sit-ups alone are not enough to reduce body fat in the belly area. When we exercise, we cannot control where our bodies start to become lean and tone. In order to improve your body’s image and health status, a combination of cardiovascular, strength and endurance exercises combined with a proper diet of reduced fats and sugars, must also be included in the exercise program.
