GRASTON® TECHNIQUE

Picture
What is GRASTON®?
GRASTON® is a soft tissue (muscle, ligaments etc) therapy where the practitioner glides a stainless steel instrument over the injured areas to break down scar tissues and promote proper healing.

How does GRASTON® work?
After an injury, the body normally forms scar tissue to repair itself. Scar tissue is painful and feels like a tough-like fiber that can impair function and cause pain. GRASTON® technique breaks it down and realigns the tissues for proper healing. The end results of this therapy are pain reduction, stronger tissues and improved function.

Does GRASTON® hurt?
Patients may experience some discomfort and bruising during and after GRASTON® treatments. This is indication that a therapeutic process is taking place.

Who can benefit from GRASTON
®?
Our chiropractors are trained to conduct thorough examinations to determine if patients would benefit from GRASTON® treatments. Please inform them of any significant past medical history.
