KINESIOTAPING

What is Kinesiotaping?
Kinesiotaping is a therapeutic and rehabilitative taping technique. It can be used for: joint instability, chronic postural strain, bruises and inflammation and joint/muscle mechanical correction.
What is the tape made out of and how long do I need to wear it?
Kinesiotape is made with specialized elastic and its surface is 100% cotton. A patient may wear Kinesiotape for 3 to 5 days during activity, at work, in the shower and while sleeping.
Who can benefit from Kinesiotaping?
Anyone with muscular problems or joint dysfunction can benefit from Kinesiotaping.
Can I apply it myself?
We recommend our chiropractors to thoroughly examine your problem first, and determine if Kinesiotaping would be appropriate for your condition. Applying Kinesiotape is a learned-skilled technique that requires thorough knowledge of anatomy and application. It is not like putting on a band-aid, and if applied incorrectly, can cost you more money and time!
